React Native Mobile Engineer – Remote (South America)

About the Role
PadSplit is seeking a React Native Mobile Engineer to lead the development of mobile applications for iOS and Android, as well as contribute to web front-end work when needed. You will play a core role in enhancing the member and host experience through mobile and web platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize mobile apps built with React Native for iOS and Android.

• Work on frontend web interfaces using React.js as required.

• Collaborate with product, design and backend engineering teams to translate features into production code.

• Participate in code review, maintain code quality, and ensure robust application performance.

• Implement automated testing for mobile and web components.

• Adapt to shifting priorities between mobile and web development as business demands evolve.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and shipping production mobile apps using React Native on iOS and Android.

• Solid React.js front-end skills including state management and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with backend systems (e.g., Django/Python), database experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and API integration.

• Strong version control skills (Git) and experience in agile development processes.

• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills.
